Sakellaropoulos
Organic Farms

Out of respect for nature, for people, for the future

At the foot of the Taygetos and Parnonas mountains, near Sparta, in the Laconia region of southern Greece, the Sakellaropoulos family has grown olives under certified organic farming since 1992.

In Mediterranean culture, the olive tree has held a special place for centuries — a symbol of continuity, peace and the deep bond between people and the land. For the Sakellaropoulos family, this tradition is reflected in careful farming, built around respect for nature, biodiversity and the authenticity of every harvest.

The farm

An organic terroir defined since 1992

The farm's extra virgin oils come from the same single-estate terroir, where the olives are grown, harvested and processed under the care of the same family. The organic farming practised here since 1992 reflects one of the pioneering visions of this growing method in Greece and helps define the aromatic profile and identity of each harvest.

A family tradition built around early harvests, giving rise to artisanal, expressive extra virgin oils, naturally rich in polyphenols.

The mineral soil of Laconia, the Mediterranean climate and the Koroneiki variety give rise to oils with a clear, vibrant and elegant aromatic profile. The groves are tended with respect for the ecosystem and biodiversity, and the olives are hand-harvested and pressed within hours of picking to preserve the freshness, aromatic complexity and natural character of the fruit.

The farm's portfolio includes first-harvest and early-harvest oils, balanced monovarietal expressions and selections with a high phenolic profile. Today, Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms is among the most awarded olive oil farms in Greece, with numerous international distinctions and consistent rankings at prestigious EVOO competitions.

Organic certification is provided by BIO-HELLAS (code 42067), in accordance with European organic farming regulations.
